Liverpool Agree £130M Deal for Alexander Isak in Blockbuster Summer Move

ISAK UPDATE by Kevin Laird (@KevinNLaird1869)

Contrary to widespread speculation in the mainstream press, I can exclusively confirm that Liverpool have an agreement in place with Newcastle United for a guaranteed £130 million, with as yet unconfirmed performance-related add-ons. This was agreed as of last night, immediately after a meeting between Isak and Newcastle United’s management.

Isak Goes on Strike to Force Dream Transfer to Liverpool

To add context, my information is that Isak has gone on strike to force through his dream transfer to us, following his dismay at Newcastle’s refusal to enter negotiations. Tentative enquiries made last week were rejected out of hand. Subsequently, he demanded that if they valued him so highly, this should be reflected in what they were willing to pay him, which would have smashed their wage structure.

Inside the Deal: Wages, Contract Length and Bonus Structure Revealed

The facts are that he is a Liverpool fan and wants to play for a big club that wins things. Although Isak feels thankful to Newcastle for their role in his career, he believes his footballing ambitions have now outgrown Newcastle United FC.

There has been no official word yet from either club, as Newcastle are keen to avoid revealing they have money to spend, something that could result in inflated prices as they pursue Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig and Yoane Wissa from Brentford. Liverpool, meanwhile, are expected to sell one of Darwin Núñez or Luis Díaz.

I cannot disclose my source other than to say he is someone close to Newcastle’s transfer dealings, and it was only with his permission that I share this story, as first revealed earlier today by myself before anyone in the media, including Fabrizio Romano. My friend called me with the story, knowing that I have aspirations to become a writer covering both Liverpool and my first love and hometown team, Kilmarnock FC.

In addition, I will use this platform to share my passion for mental health advocacy and hope some people find value in what I share.

Terms, according to what I’ve been told, have been agreed: a six-year deal in the region of £280,000 per week, plus performance-related bonuses. This figure is less than what he demanded to extend and remain a Newcastle player.

Liverpool’s Financial Power Backed by Record Sales and Adidas Kit Launch

Happy days. I also shared my thoughts and promoted the Anfieldindex Money Talks podcast, hosted by Eddie Gibbs and financial guru Mo Chatra. They detailed the breakdown of Liverpool’s financial power, noting that despite projected summer spending expected to reach around, or even exceed, £500 million, this will be offset by record player sales of approximately £260 million.

Add to that the imminent launch of the new adidas kit deal, with optimistic predictions of record-breaking sales following the marquee signings already made and those still in the pipeline.
