EXCLUSIVE! Chelsea in contact for player who reminds Gianfranco Zola of himself in his playing days!

We expect a relatively quiet month for Chelsea this winter. However, there are always situations that are looking like they might happen.

One player that Chelsea are not expected to be moving to try and sign this January is Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. He is wanted by many Premier League clubs right now and has a release clause, but Chelsea are not looking likely to be one of the clubs moving for him.

The situation of Nicolas Jackson is expected to be quiet during January, with the striker wanting to stay at Bayern Munich and see out his season long loan move, despite it not going so great so far.

But there is another Chelsea player, Raheem Sterling, who is hoping for a move in the winter after not playing in this first half of the season.

Sterling to Leeds?

Sterling has been left out in the cold by Chelsea and has been training away from the first team group. But could Leeds United be his saviour this winter?

MOT Leeds News are reporting that Leeds United have recently been sensationally linked with a January move to rescue Raheem Sterling from Chelsea.

But football finance expert Dan Plumley has insisted that it would be a massive risk for Leeds and the 49ers Enterprises to even attempt to sign Sterling.

“That’s a big stretch for Leeds, I’d say,” Plumley exclusively told MOT Leeds News.

“It would blow their wage bill up even if his reported wage is correct, and Chelsea even covers half.

“It’s a big risk for Leeds financially.”
