Liverpool have rejected an offer from RB Leipzig for Harvey Elliott on transfer deadline day. The Reds are having a busy day.
There's a lot of speculation around Harvey Elliott's future after a season where he didn't see too much action. It means just about everyone expected him to leave Liverpool this summer as the Reds overhauled their team.
However, we're not up to transfer deadline day and Elliott is very much still a Liverpool player. Now the club have made that clearer than ever.

Anfield Watch understands that Liverpool have rejected a €40m offer from RB Leipzig to kick-off transfer deadline day. There's no word on how that offer was structured, however.
But an offer was expected. Leipzig sold Xavi Simons to Tottenham Hotspur in the last few days, opening the door to a deal.
Elliott is their choice to replace Simons and they're hoping to strike a late deal. Liverpool, however, would want comfortably over €40m in order to sell their player.
Elliot, after all, holds homegrown value to Liverpool. We also just believe he's a far better player than people realise and someone who can absolutely play a role this season.
Perhaps this is a sign that Liverpool are willing to give him much more of a chance across Arne Slot's second campaign. Or perhaps it's merely a sign that the club wants far more than €40m for him.
