Franco Mastantuono, widely regarded as one of the most promising young talents in Argentine football, continues to captivate the attention of Europe’s footballing elite.
His impressive performances for River Plate, particularly his stunning free-kick goal in the heated Clasico against Boca Juniors and his impressive strike during the Copa Libertadores clash against Barcelona SC, have caught the eye of several major clubs.
Among the clubs monitoring his progress are Real Madrid, Manchester City, Atletico Madrid, and Manchester United, all of whom are eager to secure the signature of the rising star.
The Argentinian attacking midfielder only 17 years old and he can also operate as a right-winger.
Man United’s head coach, Ruben Amorim, also pushing for the signing of the talented midfielder.
Amorim sees Mastantuono as a key piece in his plans to rejuvenate the Red Devils’ squad and is pressing the club’s hierarchy to make a competitive offer.
Given United’s financial capacity and global influence, their involvement is expected to significantly drive up Mastantuono’s market value, adding more competition to an already heated transfer race.
Man City have also joined the race. Known for their aggressive approach in the transfer market and considerable financial resources, City are reportedly positioning themself as a strong contender.
The club’s vast network and financial muscle provide it with an advantage, potentially allowing them to outbid their rivals if negotiations advance.
Spanish giants Real Madrid have shown particular interest in Mastantuono. The club’s scouting network has been keeping close tabs on the youngster’s development, with reports suggesting that they view him as a potential addition to their squad.

Despite Madrid’s strong interest, River Plate President Jorge Brito remains adamant that Mastantuono should continue his growth at the Argentine club.
Atletico Madrid are also showing interest in the Argentina U20 star player. Reports from Spain suggest that Atletico are preparing a substantial €30 million bid to bring the Argentine sensation to the Spanish capital.
Despite the strong European interest, River Plate remain determined to keep hold of their prized asset until at least the end of the year.
Mastantuono currently has a release clause of €45 million, but River Plate’s management are considering raising the price tag given the mounting demand from Europe’s elite.
