Don Goodman has commented on the news regarding Haji Wright snubbing Leeds United
EFL pundit Don Goodman feels that it is too soon to be snubbing Premier League interest, and Haji Wright should reassess where Leeds United and other possibly linked teams are in the table once the January transfer window opens.
The American frontman is flying for Coventry City so far this season, sitting among the top goalscorers in the division.
After a 16-goal campaign in his first season at The CBS Arena and a 12-goal campaign last year, despite playing just 27 times, it was only a matter of time before the Sky Blues' record signing would be attracting Premier League interest, and Football Insider have reported that last season's Championship champions are among those looking to bring the 27-year-old to the top flight.
Unfortunately for Leeds, however, the report goes on to state that both Wright and Coventry are set to reject their advances.
To many, this could be seen as a big boost for the Sky Blues in their title charge in the second tier this season, but with the January transfer window still a couple of months away from opening, Goodman feels that this is a decision to be made then, rather than now.

Speaking exclusively, with Football League World, Don Goodman has given his opinion on the reports surrounding Wright's rejection of Leeds' interest.
Ultimately, everyone's primary goal in the Championship is to end up playing in the Premier League, and the Sky Sports pundit can't see why Wright would flat-out snub the interest two months away from the transfer window being open.
"It's an interesting decision that Haji Wright would have to make," Goodman said.
"I'm not sure if you can snub a Premier League club in November, when the transfer window is a while away yet, and obviously we need to establish whether this is just speculation or not.
"Look, they're two phenomenal clubs, but I'm not sure that there are many Championship players who would turn down the opportunity to come to a Premier League club."
Ultimately, the main concern for Wright to make the switch would be that, at Coventry, he's already at a side who are battling for a chance to become a Premier League club.

If he made the switch to Elland Road, he could risk coming down with the Whites back to where he started, whilst in the meantime, his former employers could be relishing a promotion back to the top flight for the first time since 2001.
This season has seen the three newly promoted sides battle valiantly through the opening months of the campaign, however, and relegation isn't a certainty. Goodman feels that the concerns surrounding a move to Leeds will all go away if Daniel Farke's side are clear of the bottom three come January.
"This may come down to how Leeds are looking in the table," he continued.
"Will he be joining a relegation battle? Or will they be comfortable, and he can then establish himself as a Premier League player?
"So, it's a difficult decision all round, but a nice position for him to be in."

While many feel that Coventry will be able to maintain their impressive form throughout the campaign, finishing in the top two and securing Premier League football this season isn't a guarantee.
Wright can be guaranteed Premier League football this season, however, if he were to make a move to Leeds, or anyone else in the top flight looking to add to their frontline, this January.
Ultimately, that does come with a risk, though. The last thing the American would want would be to end up back in the second tier come next August, especially ahead of next summer's World Cup in his homeland, while Frank Lampard's side plays in the top flight without him.
There's also a high chance that, if Coventry don't go up this season, Wright could be on the radar of a Premier League side next summer if he continues his purple patch in front of goal in the second tier.
Therefore, there's an almost certain chance that the 27-year-old will be playing top-flight football in the next year. It just depends on whether he wants it this coming January or whether he can wait until next summer.
As it stands, it's the latter, but a lot could change in two months.
