Don Goodman highlighted one Wrexham player that QPR should be fearful of ahead of their clash at the weekend.

Kieffer Moore has had a fantastic start to life at Wrexham after arriving in the summer - and that has also translated onto the international stage too.

Scoring three goals in four Championship matches as the club looks to settle in the second tier following their rapid rise through the divisions, Moore has been a revelation up top under Phil Parkinson so far, having also netted in the EFL Cup too against Preston North End.

Wrexham picked up their first three points in the second tier just before the international break, with Moore scoring the opening goal in a 2-0 away win against Millwall.

And after heading on international duty for Wales as they made the long trip to Kazakhstan for FIFA World Cup qualifying action, the 33-year-old target man was at it again as he netted the only goal for Cymru in a 1-0 win.

With domestic action returning this weekend, Parkinson's men host Queens Park Rangers, who also picked up their first win of the season on the eve of the break against Charlton Athletic at Loftus Road.

Kieffer Moore should be feared by QPR ahead of Saturday's clash

And speaking exclusively to Football League World, Sky Sports pundit Don Goodman earmarked Moore as the man that the R's should be fearing heading into the clash at the Racecourse Ground on Saturday.

"I think the obvious answer is Kieffer Moore," Goodman told FLW in response to which Red Dragons player should worry Julien Stephan's back-line the most.

"This is a Moore that is being shown love by the Wrexham fans, and who is thriving.

"I don't think he ever really got there with the Sheffield United fans, and as a consequence, I don't think that they ever saw the best version of him."

During his time at Sheffield United, Moore scored just six goals across 30 appearances for the Blades, and he is now just two away from matching that tally after scoring four goals in five Wrexham appearances.

"He is scoring goals," Goodman added.

"His general play has been fantastic, he has fought through a bit of an ankle injury, and then he went away on international duty and scored a winning goal."

"He is going to be feeling 10 feet tall at the moment," concluded Goodman.

Kieffer Moore will have to continue strong Wrexham start if they're going to push for promotion

Wrexham have made a steady start to the campaign after taking League One by storm alongside Birmingham City last term.

And just like the team they came up with, the Red Dragons have invested heavily under Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, spending multiple millions on the likes of Moore, Callum Doyle, Nathan Broadhead and many others this past summer.

Phil Parkinson has seen fantastic Championship experience added to his side in recent months, and despite the slow start to life in the second tier, Wrexham's new-look squad needs time to gel - and there were signs that against Millwall, it was starting to do just that.

Since leaving Cardiff City for Bournemouth in 2022, towering centre-forward Moore has been unable to make a real name for himself at any of the Cherries, Ipswich and Sheffield United.

Now back on Welsh soil, Moore is thriving in a system tailor-made for a big centre-forward, and the aforementioned love-in from the fans gives all the signals that Wrexham is the perfect home for the 33-year-old.
