Lee Hendrie has told FLW why Glen Kamara could be a good fit at West Brom
Lee Hendrie believes that Glen Kamara could be suited to a team like West Brom in January amid links with Leicester City and Ipswich Town.
According to JeunesFooteux, the three Championship sides are all interested in signing the midfielder when the market opens in the new year.
The 30-year-old is currently plying his trade in France with Ligue 1 club Rennes, but he has so far made just one appearance in the top flight so far this season.
The Finland international spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan in Saudi Arabia with Al-Shabab after falling down the pecking order of the French side.
This has led to speculation over his future going into the winter market, with a potential return to English football on the cards after a previous stint with Leeds United in the second division.

Hendrie is not surprised to see Kamara’s name mentioned as a potential transfer target for Championship sides, as he expects the winter window to be busy for players like the 30-year-old that are struggling for game time.
He believes West Brom could be a good fit for the ex-Leeds player as he can provide some much-needed strength in depth for Ryan Mason’s side.
“He hasn’t really had much time, as in playing time, so no surprise that the likes of Leicester and Ipswich are looking to maybe bring him in,” Hendrie exclusively told Football League World.
“I’m sure there will be a lot more clubs that will be interested in signing, because of what he brings to a side in that role he carries in midfield.
“I think lots of players who probably aren’t featuring at clubs, this is where it starts to get a little bit hot, obviously little bits of talk and movement, does get ready for that January window.
“Which I think will be really, really big this season, particularly with the likes of players like Kamara, who aren’t playing.
“This would probably suit West Brom, for sure they need players and they need squad depth.”
Mason is under pressure to get results at the Hawthorns after taking charge in the summer, with the team struggling for results.
Albion are 14th in the table, having earned 21 points from their opening 15 games, which has left them four adrift of the play-offs.
Meanwhile, Leicester are level on points with West Brom but sit 12th, while Ipswich are two ahead and seventh.
All three clubs return to action this weekend with Saturday clashes, with the Baggies taking on Coventry City in a 12.30pm kick-off, while the Foxes and Tractor Boys face clashes at 3pm against Stoke City and Wrexham, respectively.

Kamara was a key part of the Leeds side that reached the play-off final in 2024, and he knows this league well at this point.
The midfielder has shown he has what it takes to be competitive at this level, so bringing him on loan for the second half of the season could add some strength to any side’s midfield options.
West Brom have struggled in attack more than in defence, but bringing in Kamara could help Mason play more attacking players alongside the solidity he brings to the back.
Kamara will also surely be hoping to move somewhere that can offer him some game time, and that might make the Baggies his best bet compared to Leicester and Ipswich.
