Crystal Palace forward Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is being eyed up by Championship duo Burnley and Wrexham in the final two weeks of the transfer window

Crystal Palace winger Jesurun Rak-Sakyi is a wanted man in the EFL ahead of transfer deadline in two weeks time, with at least two Championship clubs eyeing up the left-footed dynamo, Football League World can exclusively reveal.

Rak-Sakyi has plenty of EFL experience, taking in loan stints at Charlton Athletic in League One, as well as Sheffield United and Stoke City in the Championship.

On the fringes of the first-team at Selhurst Park once more though, Rak-Sakyi looks poised for another departure from the UEFA Europa Conference League winners despite being involved in their pre-season fixtures - where he'll end up though is another matter.

Burnley and Wrexham in Jesurun Rak-Sakyi transfer chase

FLW understands that two Championship outfits - Burnley and Wrexham - are both interested in signing Rak-Sakyi before the transfer window closes on September 1.

In Chelsea's new Kazakh international teenager Dastan Satpayev, the Clarets have already added a player on loan who can operate out wide, however the 18-year-old's primary position is a centre-forward, leaving the potential need for a new winger, with Jaydon Banel out injured and Jacob Bruun Larsen being linked with a move to FC Kobenhavn.

Marcus Edwards is the only other out-and-out winger on Nicky Hayen's books though, and Burnley are looking towards Rak-Sakyi as a potential option to bolster their options across their final third positions.

Similarly, Wrexham are also in the market for new additions, having broken their transfer record this summer for Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson.

Ben Whiteman and Danny Imray have also arrived at the North Wales outfit, but Phil Parkinson is yet to add to his attacking options this summer, and whilst he prefers a winger-less system, Rak-Sakyi could operate as one of the dual attacking midfielders behind the lone striker.

With Rak-Sakyi likely having little to no chance of Premier League game-time under new Palace manager Pierre Sage, this summer could be the time he moves on permanently, although it's unclear as to whether Wrexham or Burnley are chasing a full-time or a loan move for his services.

The last contract that Rak-Sakyi signed at Crystal Palace was in the summer of 2022, extending his time at the London outfit until 2027, meaning he's just got one year remaining on his deal - it could be their last chance to make some money on the attacker, given he could talk to non-English clubs about a pre-contract arrangement come January 2027.

Jesurun Rak-Sakyi has plenty of Championship experience

Last summer, Rak-Sakyi was coming off the back of a mixed loan stint at Sheffield United, where he scored seven league goals, yet wasn't always favoured by Blades manager Chris Wilder, which led to minimal involvement in the 2025 Championship play-offs.

A surprise temporary switch to Türkiye followed, joining Rizespor for the 2025-26 season, and even though the forward showed good form by scoring four Super Lig goals in 11 matches, the agreement was terminated during the January window to allow Rak-Sakyi to return to England.

From there, Stoke City were the club he joined for the remainder of the campaign, featuring on both wings as well as playing as a number 10, finding the back of the net three times in 15 appearances - of which eight were starts.

Despite Rak-Sakyi's appearances for Palace in pre-season, the presence of Ismaila Sarr, Yeremy Pino, Dwight McNeil and other attackers mean that his time could be coming to an end at the club he's been at since 2019, with second tier outfits looking to pounce.
