Manchester United will be aiming to return to winning ways when they host Brentford in the Premier League this afternoon.

The Red Devils are winless in the last five games across all competitions including three in the English top-flight.

They will be aiming to make amends against the Bees. Manager Erik ten Hag is expected to make few changes with fresh injury concerns.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Predicted Line-up:

Andre Onana is United’s undisputed goalkeeper in the Premier League since his arrival from Inter last term. He has been one of their best performers with several stand-out performances.

In front of him, there should be an enforced change from the 0-0 draw against Aston Villa. Harry Maguire has been ruled out for the next couple of weeks with a muscle injury.

Noussair Mazraoui has recovered from a minor heart procedure and he is expected to continue at right-back with Diogo Dalot on the left side of the back four.

Jonny Evans was exceptional at Villa Park with 11 duels won alongside four tackles. The veteran is likely to get the nod in central defence, partnering Lisandro Martinez.

With Kobbie Mainoo joining Mason Mount on the sidelines, there will be an enforced midfield change.

Ten Hag has confirmed Manuel Ugarte is ready for selection after an injury scare on international duty.

The Uruguayan should get the nod over Casemiro in defensive midfield. Christian Eriksen is expected to start from the number eight role amid his good form for club and country.

The Dane has three goals and three assists for United and recently made two goal contributions for his country in the 2-2 comeback draw against Switzerland in the Nations League.

Further forward, Bruno Fernandes will keep his place in the number 10 position despite his poor run at club level. The Red Devils skipper has to step up with his performances.

Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford should be nailed-on starters out wide with Rasmus Hojlund up front. Hojlund is a much better finisher than Joshua Zirkzee in our view.
