There is always pressure on a host nation to perform, and that was certainly the case for France in their opening 60 minutes against USA in the Olympic football.

And it was the experience of 33-year-old Alexandre Lacazette that became the difference-maker, with a superb solo effort that became France's first goal of their Olympic tournament.

It appeared that his strike opened the floodgates, as new Bayern Munich man Michael Olise netted a second for Les Blues just minutes later.
