The Mike Maignan to Chelsea story is just mad right now. It looked like it was happening and then all of a sudden Chelsea are penny pinching and don’t want to pay £25m to sign a world class goalkeeper.

There’s so much going around and probably clubs pushing out their side of the story via various media outlets – but can it still happen?

Chelsea can get it done

According to a report by Daniele Longo, there have been a few changes in approach for Chelsea and Milan in the last few hours regarding the negotiation for Mike Maignan. The Blues are aware of Maignan’s contract situation with Milan and are offering €20 million as transfer fees for the goalkeeper.

Milan’s though, are asking for a figure around €30 million. However, the gap can be bridged with bonuses but Chelsea are playing the long game to force Milan’s hand, per the report.

So let’s see what happens.
