Wolves could be in line for a multi-million windfall this summer if former defender Bastien Meupiyou secures a big-money move.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, reports suggest Borussia Dortmund have offered up to £14.7 million for the 20-year-old, made up of £10.4 million upfront and £4.3 million in add-ons.
Wolves inserted a buy-back clause for a small fee, although they are not expected to trigger it. A sell-on means they would recoup the £4.2 million they paid, then take 50 per cent of any profit.
If Dortmund’s bid is accepted, Wolves could receive up to £7.3 million from the initial fee, plus a further £2.1 million if the add-ons are met.
Meupiyou joined from Nantes in 2024 for around £4.2 million but did not make a first-team appearance before leaving last summer for Portuguese side Alverca.
He has since been a regular at centre-back, with newly-promoted Alverca finishing mid-table in the top flight. The club have braced for bids and believe he could surpass their record sale, set at £7 million when Alex Amorim joined Genoa in January.
