Fabien Barthez, the new France goalkeeping coach, attended the Ligue 1 match between Toulouse and OL at the Stadium on Saturday, according to L'Équipe.
His appointment to Zinédine Zidane's staff was confirmed only a few days ago, and this was his first public appearance in Toulouse.
The 1998 World Cup winner, who lives in the region, watched from the stands.
On the pitch, French keepers Guillaume Restes, a France Under-21 international, and Rémy Descamps, usually the understudy to Dominik Greif, started, with Greif rested. That in itself does not invite conclusions.
A Toulouse academy graduate, Barthez is a familiar face at the ground and still visits regularly. During the 2020-2021 season he also worked as a consultant on the club's staff.
