Fábio Veríssimo has lodged a disciplinary complaint against FC Porto for alleged false accusation, prompting the FPF Disciplinary Board to open a case, according to O Jogo.
He acted after Porto’s earlier complaint against him, centred on the matchday seven trip to Arouca, was not proven by the Commission of Instructors and was archived.
Porto had alleged he threatened club officials Henrique Monteiro, Tiago Madureira and Bertino Miranda, including remarks suggesting Luís Gonçalves should return because he was forgiven, and that Monteiro would only learn once he had been expelled one or two times.
The club also said those threats later materialised when Monteiro was dismissed in the game against Braga.
Article 112-A of the Disciplinary Regulations provides for sanctions when clubs knowingly file false accusations against sports officials, with fines ranging from 2,550 to 25,500 euros if convicted.
