Liverpool are about to conduct an all-out assault on the summer transfer window. Despite winning the 2024/25 Premier League title, sporting director Richard Hughes and head coach Arne Slot are not standing still.
An overhaul is very much underway - with several candidates lined up to arrive in the off-season. Bayer Leverkusen have been raided for Jeremie Frimpong and - in time - Florian Wirtz.
We are also set to see a new centre-forward arrive - with plenty of names mentioned as potential incomings in that department.
But don’t forget left-back.
That position has long since been identified as a priority for Hughes and Slot. With Andy Robertson turning 31 - and becoming out of contract in 2026 - a long-term solution on the left side of the Reds’ defence is required.
Kostas Tsimikas is likely to be SOLD if a new candidate arrives as the Greek has never truly convinced as Robbo’s understudy.
A former Hughes signing when he was technical director at Bournemouth, Milos Kerkez is considered the No1 pick for the Reds ahead of the summer transfer window opening.
And now Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the 21-year-old Hungarian defender has already agreed terms with the Premier League champions ahead of a summer move.

Bournemouth are looking to bank around £45m for Kerkez - and Liverpool now appear to have held off other interested clubs for the left-back - including Real Madrid and Manchester City.
“Who is really appreciated at Liverpool is Milos Kerkez, and I'm insisting on this one, guys, because I expect this deal to advance in the next days, also between clubs,” he said on his YouTube channel.
“Agreement done with the player. The agreement between Liverpool and Kerkez is done. The contract is ready. Everything is okay. The player can't wait to become a Liverpool player.
