Fabrizio Romano reveals why Juventus did not sign Borussia Dortmund youngster | OneFootball

Juventus have been linked with a move for Borussia Dortmund teenager Samuele Inacio, and they could have signed him during the last transfer window if they had been able to complete a deal.

In recent times, Juventus have invested in young talents who can arrive in Turin and improve the team both now and in the future. They see Inacio as one of the players they should not miss out on, despite the teenager not yet being a regular for Dortmund.

Juventus wanted Inacio in the summer

It is clear that Inacio is regarded as one of the best players of his age in Germany, and Juventus tried to sign him during the summer. The Bianconeri eventually signed Jeff Ekhator from Genoa, but many were surprised by their decision to pursue the young attacker.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Inacio was the player Juventus really wanted to add to their squad. The Bianconeri have been scouting him for some time and are aware of his qualities, while Dortmund also regard him highly as a player they have developed.

Dortmund unwilling to let Inacio leave

Dortmund have high hopes for Inacio, which is why Juventus were unable to sign him. The German club did not believe it was the right time to allow the teenager to leave, despite the interest from Turin.

Romano reveals via Football Italia:

“I think Inacio might consider returning to Italy one day. A couple of Serie A teams already tried to sign him during the past summer transfer window.

“He’s a player Juventus really like. Juventus asked for information during the summer to see if they had a chance, then signed Ekhator because Inacio wasn’t on the market.”

The comments confirm that Juventus have already explored the possibility of signing Inacio and could maintain their interest in the future.
