Leeds United have completed the loan signing of Facundo Buonanotte from Brighton & Hove Albion. The club said in a statement that the Argentinian joins until the end of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign, highlighting his versatility and set-piece delivery.
Leeds confirmed the move after his Chelsea loan was ended early. The 21-year-old has been registered in time to be in Saturday’s squad at Fulham, if Daniel Farke selects him.
Buonanotte emerged at Rosario Central, making 32 senior appearances, before Brighton moved for him shortly after his 18th birthday. He played 50 times for the Seagulls across competitions, then left on loan for further experience.
Last season he impressed on loan at Leicester City, playing 35 times, scoring six and assisting on three occasions. He spent the first half of this season at Chelsea, featuring eight times, and now has over 125 first-team appearances.
Capped twice by Argentina against Indonesia and El Salvador, he has played in the Premier League, Champions League and Europa League. Left footed and comfortable centrally, wide on either flank or dropping deeper, he also takes set-pieces.
