Facundo Pellistri sends farewell message to Manchester United fans; Ugarte reacts | OneFootball

Facundo Pellistri has left Manchester United after signing a deal to join Panathinaikos.

The Uruguay international is searching for regular game that and he should achieve that with the Greek Cup holders.

In response to his departure, Pellistri has written a goodbye message to United fans, stating that he has memories from his time at Old Trafford that he will cherish forever.

Pellistri wrote: “Dear Reds, My time has come to say goodbye. It’s been an incredible journey, full of unforgettable moments and experiences that I will cherish forever.

“Your unwavering support, both on and off the pitch, is something I will remember for ever. I’ve grown as a player and as a person, and that’s because of you.

“As you say, once a Red, always a Red. Manchester will always hold a special place in my heart.

“Wishing the club and all of you nothing but the best for the future.

“With gratitude, Facu Pellistri.”

Pellistri has received several messages from his former team-mates, but one player of interest is Manuel Ugarte, his Uruguay compatriot.

Ugarte has been strongly linked with a move to Manchester United from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, with a deal now said to be close.

The PSG star left a ‘heart’ emoji beneath Pellistri’s post to United fans.

They would’ve played together on the international stage, but the winger won’t be in Manchester to welcome Ugarte should be join the Reds before deadline day.
