Family member of Real Madrid star murdered on Christmas day | OneFootball

La Liga players are enjoying a rare breath in the calendar, as they enjoy a Christmas break before returning to work next week. However the festive period has sadly been impacted by tragedy for one of Real Madrid‘s stars.

According to RMC Sport, Endrick Felipe’s brother-in-law was shot dead in a bar on the outskirts of Brasilia. The 38-year-old Mauricio Nunes Goncalves, who was married to Endrick’s older sister Lavinia Sudre, was murdered without apparent cause on the 25th of December, with the funeral held the following day. Police are investigating the incident, but are yet to establish the motive.

Endrick himself, 18, does not appear to be in Brazil currently based on his social media posts. On Christmas day he posted pictures with his wife Gabriely Miranda in the Spanish capital, which he has called home since July. Los Blancos return to training next week, as they prepare to face Valencia on the third of January.
