Trevoh Chalobah is just awesome, let’s face it.

A year ago he was being excluded from Chelsea first training after having committed no offence beyond having a juicy “pure profit” sum attached to his potential sale.

Thankfully we only loaned him out in the end – he was back by January, playing a key role in our subsequent success. He never hold a grudge against his continued shabby treatment – he just gets on with being great.

Speaking after the big win over West Ham on Friday where he got to score and celebrate in memorable fashion, he had the tone of a real leader.

“We didn’t start the game the way we wanted but that is football, and you can’t let things like that affect you,” said the academy product.

“Moments like that are going to happen, and when the opposition score goals like that, you have to hold your hands up and stay in the game and stay focused. We did that.

“Us getting that second goal in the first half was very important and maybe a turning point because it allowed us to get control. I felt like when they scored, it got a bit hectic, and we needed to stay a bit calmer, and the team did that well.

“It is a good feeling. It is always nice to get three points, and we were disappointed not to win last weekend, so it is nice to get back to winning ways.”

Colwill out means Chalobah in for Blues

Levi Colwill’s injury means that we’re almost guaranteed to keep Chalobah at Chelsea this season, and he’s guaranteed to be a starter for a good chunk of it – at least until Wesley Fofana is fit to provide competition.

We just know he won’t let us down.
