Fan footage shows pitch disorder after Gornal Athletic lost the Midlands Football League Division One play-off final 2-1 to Sutton United at Garden Walk Stadium in Gornal on Saturday, with confrontations breaking out as supporters entered the pitch.

A clip shared on X by a supporter captured the scenes, and the video contains strong language. West Midlands Police said they are investigating disorder at the ground and reported no serious injuries.

After full-time, Sutton fans came on to celebrate with the players. Several Gornal supporters also entered the field and clashes followed.

Punches were seen during some scuffles, while flares were thrown onto the pitch and then tossed back into the packed main stand, with more than 1,500 in attendance.

Officers ran across the turf to break up the disorder, with at least one police dog on the pitch, and it took at least 15 minutes to clear supporters from the area.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and has been bailed pending further enquiries. Police enquiries continue and anyone with information is asked to contact the force via Live Chat or by calling 101.
