Viewers of the World Cup meeting between Brazil and Morocco have made clear their disappointment with the awarding of the Man of the Match prize.

This comes after Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. was named the evening’s standout performer.

Wide-man Vinícius for his part featured from the off in the early hours of Sunday, as Brazil kicked their World Cup campaign into gear in New York.

En route to an eventual 1-1 draw for Carlo Ancelotti’s troops, the 25-year-old played a starring role, notching his country’s only goal to level things up during the first-half.

Such efforts culminated in ‘Viní’ beating out the competition to clinch the Man of the Match award, an important moment for a player who has long been criticised for the level of his performances on the international stage.

As alluded to above, though, neutral viewers of the fixture are of the collective opinion that the Real Madrid man was far from deserving of the trophy.

Instead, midfield sensation Ayyoub Bouaddi has been widely labelled the ‘MVP’ of Brazil 1-1 Morocco.
