Francesco Farioli, FC Porto’s coach, clarified Gabri Veiga’s introduction in the victory over Nacional (1-0). The Spaniard came on for Rodrigo Mora, immediately took charge of a corner kick, and assisted Jan Bednarek.

Alan Varela was going to take the corner, but the coaching staff chose to bring Gabri Veiga on earlier

“Gabri is a player who stands out for the quality of his distribution. He was ready and we decided to speed up the substitution, and I think it was a good decision. The first time he touched the ball, he delivered it with great quality and Jan [Bednarek] made an impact on set pieces.”
