Farioli rests Diogo Costa to avoid setback ahead of Benfica clash

FC Porto faces Benfica next Wednesday, in a classic quarter-final match of the Portuguese Cup. Diogo Costa is still not fully recovered from the injury suffered last Sunday, in the game against Santa Clara.

The international player suffered a muscle spasm with cramps in the calf of his left leg and has been feeling some discomfort, so the Dragons have been managing his effort. In this regard, Francesco Farioli decided not to include the captain in the friendly against Farense, to avoid relapses or worsening of the injury. The club remains optimistic about the possibility of having the starting goalkeeper available for the clash with their rivals.
