Farioli: Sporting only scored an own goal and two penalties against us

Francesco Farioli addressed journalists about the match between Sporting and FC Porto, regarding the first leg of the Portuguese Cup semi-final, which ended 1-0. The Italian coach, at the press conference in Alvalade, analyzed the recent encounters with Sporting:

“In terms of impact, from my point of view, we have to leave here with the right energy. We played a frankly good game. The second half was different, but when you finish the game with Pepê as right-back… In three games against Sporting, what they managed to do offensively was an own goal and two penalties… That says a lot about what we did. With a natural right-back and with our center-back [Bednarek], I saw the game played on one half of the pitch, with us recovering a lot of balls.”
