Sean Longstaff is set to miss at least a month with a calf injury, Leeds boss Daniel Farke has revealed.

The midfielder suffered the injury in the defeat to Aston Villa and is now expected to be out for around four to six weeks.

“Sean Longstaff will miss the game,” Farke said. “He’s out with a calf injury. He suffered it during the last game.

“It’s not good news, he’s expected to be out for around four to six weeks so we will miss him for a while. Of course it’s not ideal.”

Leeds will also be without Anton Stach for the game against Manchester City on Saturday due to the midfielder being in the concussion protocols.

“Anton Stach will definitely miss the Man City game due to following the concussion protocols,” Farke explained.

“He will be allowed, if everything works in our favour and everything is smooth, to be allowed to return back to team training on Sunday.

“So he will definitely miss this game.”

Meanwhile, Sebastiaan Bornauw could also miss the game because of a knee issue.

“Sebastiaan Bornauw is a doubt, he has some MCL problems and missed the training session yesterday and also today,” Farke said. “It will be a late call about his availability and we will see if he’s able to join us in team training tomorrow (Friday). We’ll make a late call with him.

“All the others are available.”
