Martínez explained on his "X" account that the FC Barcelona management team does not want to rush things, emphasizing that this delay is part of a thoughtful and deliberate approach.

Fermín López's current contract with FC Barcelona runs until the summer of 2029. However, according to Mundo Deportivo, an agreement has already been reached between both parties for an extension until 2031, including a salary increase.

The 22-year-old Spanish midfielder is having a standout season for the Blaugrana. He has featured in 25 matches across all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 10 assists.
