According to information from Sport, Marcus Rashford's representatives met with sporting director Deco this Monday at the FC Barcelona offices.
The Spanish outlet reports that the meeting aimed to lay the groundwork for a permanent transfer of the Englishman this summer. The Catalan club's objective is clear: to keep the on-loan forward, but to renegotiate the €30 million buyout clause set by Manchester United—a figure the English club’s management currently considers non-negotiable.
Barça remains fairly optimistic about this deal, convinced that the player's desire to stay in Catalonia could help move negotiations forward in the coming weeks. However, the situation is expected to be complicated, especially given Rashford’s high salary.
