FC Barcelona is moving calmly towards securing the future of one of its young midfielders, aiming to preserve squad stability and ensure the continuity of its sporting project.

Marc Casadó set for contract extension at FC Barcelona

According to Italian journalist Nicolò Schira, Marc Casadó is on the verge of finalizing a new deal with the Catalan club.

Currently tied to Barça until June 2028, the 22-year-old midfielder has attracted interest from several English clubs as well as teams competing in the Saudi Pro League.

The Barcelona management is therefore considering extending his contract until 2030, with the firm backing of their German coach Hansi Flick, despite Casadó's relatively limited playing time this season.

Furthermore, Catalan daily Sport reports that Casadó is also on the radar of the Saudi Public Investment Fund, as part of its strategy to strengthen local clubs.

This season, the young midfielder has featured in 25 matches across all competitions, providing one assist but yet to find the back of the net.
