It wasn’t long ago that Ibrahima Konate’s departure from Liverpool FC was officially confirmed. The French defender and the Reds negotiated a new deal for a long time, but without success. Most recently, FC Bayern got involved in the poker for the defensive star
Several media outlets reported that Bayern were in permanent contact with the player’s agent, and there was already loose interest a year ago, with Bayern positioning themselves in case the Liverpool extension fell through
However, it has recently been reported on several occasions that the player’s salary demands are extremely high and that Bayern must first make room. Although Min-jae Kim and Hiroki Ito could theoretically leave, there are currently no concrete offers for either of them
Now Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid and the Konate side are largely in agreement. There have recently been intensive contacts between the Whites and the Frenchman and, according to the Italian transfer expert, the „here we go“ can be expected shortly
Chelsea are also said to have recently expressed an interest, with Xabi Alonso seeing the player as ideal to play an important role in the back three. However, the Blues will now also have to look elsewhere

There is certainly movement in Real’s defence. David Alaba is set to leave the club, and there could also be changes in the wing-back positions. Konate would be Real’s next transfer-free coup if the deal is ultimately completed
Alaba was brought in at the end of his contract, as were players such as Kylian Mbappe and Trent Alexander-Arnold
Bayern will have to take a different approach if they want to offload a player in defense and then sign a new defender.
