FC Bayern Confirms: Next New Signing Has Signed | OneFootball

FC Bayern has already made two major signings this summer. Not much more is expected to happen. But now the record champions have officially confirmed another deal. 

This isn’t Bara Sapoko Ndiaye, who is expected to join from the Gambinos Stars. Instead, the club has signed a promising young defender.

His name is Konstantinos Karandrikas. The 17-year-old Greek is moving from Atromitos Athens to the Bayern campus and has signed a long-term contract. In the future, he will play for the German record champions’ U19 team and is expected to develop there.

Bayern snags the next talent

The Karandrikas deal is the latest coup for FC Bayern’s youth academy. The club recently signedattacking talent Matous Srb from Slavia Prague.

“Our scouts have been observing Konstantinos for quite some time. He is an athletic center back with good build-up play who will strengthen our U19 squad. We’re delighted to have signed him for our youth program; we’re convinced of his potential and are excited to see his next steps with us,” said Michael Wiesinger, Head of Sports and Youth Development.

Karandrikas, who was born in Peristeri, made his way to Atromitos Athens via Heraklis Peristeri. There, he developed exceptionally well and caught the attention of clubs like FC Bayern. In Munich, he is now set to take the next steps in his career and mature at his own pace.

The transfer aligns with the record champion’s current strategy. The goal is to continually bring young, promising players to Munich. If they fully live up to expectations, Bayern may have acquired a player who is an option for the first team at a reasonable price. If not, the risk remains limited. In addition, players who reach a solid level but aren’t in the running for FCB’s first team can be sold at a profit.
