According to Fabrizio Romano, Nestory Irankunda is on the verge of joining Sporting CP from Watford in a deal worth around €18 million, including add-ons.

When Bayern Munich sold the Australian forward to Watford for just €3 million in 2025, they allegedly negotiated a 40% sell-on clause as part of the agreement. That decision now looks set to pay off, with the Bundesliga champions due to receive an approximate €8.2m share of the transfer fee once the move is finalised.

While the windfall is unlikely to make a significant dent in Bayern’s finances, it still represents a welcome boost as the club continues to strengthen its transfer budget ahead of what could be busy summer windows in 2027 and 2028.
