FC Bayern Women honour bronze medallists

FC Bayern Women welcomed back and honoured its new Olympic bronze medallists as Germany’s Lea Schüller, Giulia Gwinn, Klara Bühl and Sydney Lohmann were presented with flowers by Bianca Rech ahead of Tuesday’s pre-season friendly against Juventus.

Rech: “We’re very proud”

Bianca Rech, FC Bayern Women director: “We’re very proud of our Olympic medal winners. Lea Schüller, Giulia Gwinn, Klara Bühl and Sydney Lohmann played a big part in Germany earning bronze in France, and nobody can ever take those memories away from them. On the contrary, they will benefit from the experience of such a tightly packed and challenging tournament. We’re pleased to have them back healthy in Munich and now want to take this momentum into the new season with them.”
