Borussia Dortmund have confirmed the sale of Steffen Tigges to FC Köln, where he has signed a four-year contract.
Tigges joined Dortmund from VfL Osnabrück in 2019 and went on to make 23 first-team appearances for the club, scoring three goals.
The 23-year-old forward will now join Köln in a deal worth a reported €1.5m, where he is expected to provide competition for Anthony Modeste in the striking department.
“I owe a lot to many people in this club,” Tigges told Dortmund’s official website.
“I would like to thank my teammates, my coaches and the staff members of the professionals and the U23s for the past three years.
“I would especially like to thank every single fan who supported us and me even in difficult times. I have always enjoyed playing in front of and for you! BVB will always have a place in my heart.”
