FC Porto express deep sorrow at death of Fernando Oliveira

FC Porto have mourned the death of Fernando Oliveira, who served as coordinator of the club’s security staff. He died on Wednesday after the Taça de Portugal quarter-final against Benfica.

According to Jornal de Notícias, he felt unwell during the match and later died at home.

Oliveira had been associated with the club for more than 47 years, joining as a member in May 1978.

He represented FC Porto in basketball and worked for the club for decades. After stepping down from his duties, he remained a regular at home matches at Estádio do Dragão and Dragão Arena.

The club offered its deepest condolences to his bereaved family.
