FC Porto’s staff costs have risen 34 per cent, driven by a higher wage bill and a performance-related incentive scheme.
According to O Jogo, the system was introduced by Francesco Farioli.
Bonuses are tied to set-piece goals, comebacks and clean sheets, among other benchmarks.
Severance payments were made to Anselmi’s coaching staff, Grujic, Fábio Cardoso and Zubizarrreta.
Those payouts amount to 5.5 million euros.
