FC Porto submit formal complaint to FPF over Supertaça pitch

FC Porto have filed a formal submission to the Portuguese Football Federation, FPF, over the condition of the Estádio Cidade de Coimbra pitch used for the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira.

According to O Jogo, the state of the surface had already prompted indignation and concern around the occasion.

On Saturday, Porto beat Torreense 1-0 to win the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira.

Those fears were confirmed when Jan Bednarek suffered an injury.

He will be sidelined for two weeks, meaning he will miss his league debut.
