Manchester United have reportedly been offered the opportunity to sign Arsenal teenager Myles Lewis-Skelly.
The Red Devils’ summer plans are beginning to take shape. Although a plethora of names continue to circulate on a daily basis, it appears that Jason Wilcox and Christopher Vivell have at least settled on the positions they intend to bolster.

Man Utd will almost certainly buy two new central midfielders, and potentially three if Manuel Ugarte departs the club. Moreover, the Premier League giants would like to add an inverted left winger, plus a new left-back.
This season, Luke Shaw has been United’s almost exclusive choice at left-back. Luckily for Ruben Amorim and Michael Carrick, the England international has been fit since the start of the campaign, overcoming the injury woes that hampered his career.
However, Shaw’s fitness has benefited from the extremely light schedule. With Man Utd expected to return to Europe next season (hopefully for the Champions League), more rotation will be required.
Tyrell Malacia is still a United player, but the club has already moved on. The almost-forgotten Dutchman will be gone for good when his contract expires in June.
Patrick Dorgu was originally brought to take the reins from Shaw, but as Patrice Evra argued, the Dane is better suited to a more advanced position.
Therefore, a new left-back is required at Carrington, and in recent days, it has been reported that Lewis-Skelly has landed on Man Utd’s shortlist.
The Arsenal youth product was one of the best revelations of the Premier League last season, when he became a regular feature in Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup. His teammate Declan Rice described him as a ‘fearless’ player.
However, the 19-year-old’s role has been reduced this term, even though he still made 27 appearances.
According to the Daily Mail journalist Nathan Salt, Lewis-Skelly has been offered to Man Utd through intermediaries.
However, it remains to be seen if the Gunners would be willing to offload one of their most promising academy products over the past few years, and simultaneously reinforce a direct rival.
MUFC have managed to snap up two exciting talents from Arsenal in the shape of Chido Obi and Ayden Heaven in recent campaigns, but neither was tied to a professional contract. On the other hand, Lewis-Skelly’s deal with the Premier League leaders is valid until June 2030. Transfermarkt estimates his value at €35 million (circa £30m)
Arteta is currently relying on Riccardo Calafiori and Piero Hancapie in the left-back role, but they’re both considered centre-backs in essence. Therefore, one might imagine that Arsenal would prefer to send Lewis-Skelly out on loan to sharpen his playing skills before making a permanent decision on his future
