The Deadline Day of this transfer window is approaching fast and there are still a lot of deals to be completed in Italian football. Let us look at a few notable sagas that are still unresolved. #5 Gianluigi Donnarumma – Even though Manchester City are quite confident on getting the Donnarumma deal over the line, they might struggle for time. The deal completely depends however, on Ederson moving to Galatasaray which has been in the works for a couple of weeks now. If this stretches further, other clubs might enter the fold for the keeper. #4 Artem Dovbyk – Although it has been clear that Dovbyk can leave, the deal hasn’t really happened yet. A deal with Villarreal is seemingly in the making but nothing has been agreed yet. Roma would still need to bring in another forward to replace him and if that doesn’t happen, chances are that he stays put till January. #3 Randal Kolo Muani – Juventus have tried to make the deal all summer but as things stand Kolo Muani is still a PSG player. As of right now, the Bianconeri cannot meet the fee that the French club want for him. However, with the sale of Douglas Luiz and the possible sale of Nicolo Savona, they might just get into a position to find a solution to complete the deal in time. Once again, if the Juventus approach seems short of time, other clubs might try to get a deal done for the forward. #2 Dusan Vlahovic – It has been expected for a while that Vlahovic will move but it just hasn’t happened. Massimiliano Allegri is an admirer and wants him at Milan and the Serbian wants the reunion too. But a deal is still being explored. Newcastle United have been reported to be interested. Interestingly, unlike a lot of the others on this list, Vlahovic played and scored in Juve’s Serie A opener. The lack of movement in the Kolo Muani deal has somewhat affected this one too. #1 Ademola Lookman – This has become an ugly situation. Lookman has made it pretty clear that he doesn’t want to play for Atalanta anymore, and the club are clear that they want their asking price to be met. Inter have pulled out of the race and a move to Atletico Madrid doesn’t seem likely either. If nothing happens, a lot would need to be forgiven from both sides for the Nigerian to play for them again. Watch out however for a late approach from the Premier League clubs, particularly Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City or Liverpool. Kaulik Mitra
