Sevilla are close to offloading another out-of-favour player, with Federico Gattoni moving towards a free transfer to Ascoli after receiving club permission to travel. The termination of his remaining year is said to be close.

According to Estadio Deportivo, the defender is already in Italy to finalise his switch to the Serie B side. Zona Mixta had earlier reported that talks with Ascoli were advanced.

Gattoni has made five competitive appearances across three seasons in Seville. No fee is due, but his exit will open up salary space.

This would leave only Fábio Cardoso’s situation to resolve among the initial summer cast-offs, with other departures already sealed. Tanguy Nianzou joined LOSC Lille as a free agent, while Rafa Mir moved to Aris Thessaloniki and Joan Jordán to Estrela Amadora.

Further movement is not ruled out before the window closes. Chidera Ejuke and Adrià Pedrosa are among those whose futures could change if acceptable proposals arrive.

Attention is also turning to signings. Sevilla have added Robbie Ure and are pursuing another centre forward after the collapse of a move for George Ilenikhena. Zona Mixta reports that academy pair Miguel Sierra and Nico Guillén will stay with Luis García Plaza’s first team and could feature in the 2026/27 opener.
