Real Madrid have confirmed Federico Valverde has a grade three sprain of his left ankle, sustained during Sunday’s derby after a challenge from Kang-In Lee, with no timescale given.
He got up immediately and completed the match. According to Marca, the club are optimistic and hope his absence will not exceed three weeks, although this type of sprain generally requires more than six weeks of recovery.
