Felicia Maria Shakira Schröder, the 19-year-old Swedish striker, has lit up Real Madrid’s start to the season and now faces Barcelona in the first women’s clásico at Camp Nou on Sunday at 17.00, live on Movistar+ and Dazn.

El Periódico Mediterráneo reports that Real Madrid paid around 1.5 million euros for her this summer, among the biggest fees in the women’s game. She was recruited to replace Caroline Weir, who left on a free transfer to Lyon.

Born on 13 April 2007 in Björkö near Gothenburg, Felicia Maria Shakira Schröder has not discussed the origin of her third name. She arrived from Hacken, where she scored 49 goals in 72 matches.

Her Madrid form has been electric, with eight goals in her first seven appearances. The only blank came in Thursday’s Champions League draw with Manchester City, while Real Sociedad and Atlético both conceded braces.

She is joint top scorer in Liga F with Barcelona’s Claudia Pina on five, averaging a goal every 35 minutes. Head coach Pau Quesada has highlighted her ability to run in behind and finish, and says the staff aim to help her stay in this flow.

There has been a blemish, a straight red card for unsporting conduct in the derby against Atlético that led to a two-match ban. Manchester City manager Andrée Jeglertz has already called her a major threat with outstanding talent.
