Felipe Vizeu returns as Avaí sign striker on 10-month deal | OneFootball

Felipe Vizeu has returned to Brazilian football, joining Avaí after a spell with Peru’s Sporting Cristal. The former Flamengo striker, now 29, has signed a 10-month contract running to June 2027.

According to Coluna Do Fla, he is already registered in the CBF’s BID and could debut on Tuesday against CRB in Série B at Estádio da Ressacada, while the report noted his finest year was 2017 at Flamengo and hoped he can rediscover that level after Udinese. Head coach Allan Aal will decide, with kick-off at 19:30 Brasília time.

Avaí are the 11th club of Vizeu’s career. His previous teams include Flamengo, Sporting Cristal, Udinese (Italy), Grêmio, Akhmat Grozny (Russia), Ceará, Criciúma, Yokohama (Japan), Sheriff (Moldova) and Atlético-GO.

Vizeu broke through in 2016 at the Copa São Paulo de Futebol Júnior, starring in Flamengo’s title win. He was later called up by Brazil’s under-20s, scoring four goals in eight South American Championship matches.

For Flamengo’s senior side, he recorded 20 goals and one assist in 65 appearances. He formed an attacking trio with Lucas Paquetá and Vini Jr before all three moved to Europe, with Vizeu joining Udinese, Paquetá signing for Milan and Vini Jr moving to Real Madrid.
