Felipe Vizeu scored the winner as Sporting Cristal beat Cerro Porteño in their Libertadores opener in Peru. According to Coluna Do Fla, the former Flamengo forward joined the Peruvian side in mid-2025.
The striker began among the substitutes. In the 37th minute of the second half he met a cross inside the box, stretching to steer the ball into the goalkeeper’s left corner, then celebrated wildly.
Two more ex-Flamengo figures linked up with him in 2026. Attacking midfielder Gabriel arrived at the start of the year, while coach Zé Ricardo has only recently taken charge.
A Flamengo academy graduate, Vizeu was champion and top scorer at the 2016 Copa São Paulo de Futebol Junior, the Copinha. He then stepped up to the senior side and featured in the 2017 Carioca campaign.
While Vizeu struck for Sporting Cristal, Flamengo beat Cusco of Peru 2-0. Arrascaeta and Bruno Henrique scored, leaving Mengo top of Group A on three points.
Flamengo now turn to the Brasileirão, facing Fluminense on Saturday 11 at 18:30 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
