Felix Nmecha has Instagram clause in Borussia Dortmund contract | OneFootball

According to Wolfsburger Allgemeine Zeitung, Borussia Dortmund’s new signing Felix Nmecha has an ‘Instagram clause’ in his contract.

The clause states if Nmecha posts anything on Instagram that violates the values of Dortmund then the 22-year-old will have to pay a fine of one million euros.

This comes after Nmecha, who is open about his Christian faith, previously posted homophobic and transphobic content on his Instagram account. This has prompted many Dortmund fans to disapprove of Nmecha’s arrival at the club as it violates the club’s values.

However, in talks with Dortmund’s management and Edin Terzic, the midfielder has stated that he will not violate the club’s values.

Nmecha joined Dortmund earlier in the month for €30m from Wolfsburg, the 22-year-old signed a contract at the club until 2028. Last season was his breakout season in the Bundesliga, Nmecha played 32 times for Wolfsburg scoring three and assisting six. His form earned him a call-up to the German national team in March, where he made his debut against Belgium.
