Newcastle are pressing ahead with plans to recruit Felix Nmecha as Bruno Guimaraes edges towards a move to Arsenal.

According to L'Équipe, Arsenal and Newcastle have agreed a €90m fee, excluding bonuses, for Guimaraes. That development has quickened Newcastle's push to secure his replacement.

Nmecha, 25, is under contract with Dortmund until 2030 and has 12 Germany caps, while also holding English nationality. He is regarded as the ideal profile to bolster the Magpies' midfield, already strengthened by the arrival of Aladji Bamba from Monaco for €41.5m, including €6m in bonuses.
