Fenerbahçe rival Crystal Palace’s Sidiki Chérif interest | OneFootball

Fenerbahçe have joined the race to sign SCO Angers and Crystal Palace target Sidiki Chérif (19), according to a report from L’Équipe.

Crystal Palace have been in the running to sign the Frenchman all month. Chérif was also the subject of bids from Paris FC, however, the Ligue 1 side were dealt a blow when it became clear that the player’s preference was for a move abroad. That meant that Les Parisiens pulled out of a potential deal. However, Crystal Palace have yet to find an agreement with Angers.

Laurent Boissier, Le Scos’ sporting director, stated last week that he did not intend for the striker to depart. However, with deadline day approaching, with just days remaining in the transfer window, Fenerbahçe have now launched an audacious attempt to sign the highly-rated forward. 

The Turkish club are engaged in attempts to convince the striker of the move and they believe that they have the means to get a deal over the line this month.
