Fenerbahçe ‘to pay’ over €20m for Feyenoord top scorer Ayase Ueda | OneFootball

TRT and Feyenoord Transfermarkt report that Feyenoord have received a substantial offer for Ayase Ueda, with Fenerbahçe prepared to pay more than €20m for the striker.

Ueda is under contract at De Kuip until mid-2028 but is open to leaving, and he has been promised a prominent role in Istanbul.

Fenerbahçe are also pursuing Romelu Lukaku, although that move is considered separate from their interest in Ueda. The forward is aware of the Lukaku pursuit yet still wants the switch.

Feyenoord’s asking price is not clear. Ueda arrived from Cercle Brugge in 2023, initially as back-up to Santiago Gimenez, then became first-choice last season.

Signed for 9 million euros, the 27-year-old returned 25 Eredivisie goals last term to finish as top scorer. In previous seasons as a reserve he scored five and nine goals respectively.

Earlier in the day it was said no bids had arrived, but that has now changed. The future of Anis Hadj Moussa is also uncertain, with the Algerian contracted until mid-2030 and attracting interest from many clubs.

The transfer window closes in the Netherlands at 23:59 on 2 September. In Türkiye it remains open until 23:59 on 4 September.
