Kanarya remain unbeaten in the league, scoring 54 times this season, but arrive off back to back draws against Kasımpaşa and Antalyaspor. Samsunspor have tightened up with successive goalless league draws and a 2-0 Türkiye Kupasi win at Antalyaspor.

Kanarya list Talisca, Edson Álvarez, Nelson Semedo and Caglar Söyüncü as injured. Without Talisca, further pressure could fall on Marco Asensio, who is joint top of the league assists chart with nine, and Youssef En-Nesyri, who has seven league goals. Samsunspor are without Emre Kilinc, Afonso Sousa and Bedirhan Çetin, while Carlo Holse leads their league scoring with five.

Kanarya average 2.2 goals per game and 59% possession, and their eight headed goals plus steady open play crossing volume could test a Samsunspor defence that has kept eight clean sheets and conceded 1.1 goals per game. The visitors may look to keep it tight again and strike when chances appear.

A win would move Kanarya to 57 points and keep the pressure on the leaders in the title race. Victory for Samsunspor would take them to 35 points and could strengthen their grip on the top half.
