Fenerbahçe make contact over January deal for Barcelona star | OneFootball

Barcelona star Robert Lewandowski is in the sights of Turkish giants Fenerbahçe ahead of the winter transfer window.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing journalist Sercan Hamzaoglu of TSYD.

Turkish football insider Hamzaoglu on Wednesday reported that:

“Fenerbahçe is inquiring about Lewandowski ‘s terms, albeit indirectly. They are also considering selling En-Nesyri. En-Nesyri dreams of going to Saudi Arabia. Sources close to the club claim they could make an offer for a year and a half, but no official steps have been taken to avoid disrupting the team’s stability.”

So, could Lewandowski realistically head to Turkey as soon as January? As things stand, as much is considered as highly unlikely.

The veteran frontman, despite his advancing years, is still considered a key figure in Hansi Flick’s Barcelona squad.

Just last weekend, the Pole notched a hat-trick in a Man of the Match performance against Celta Vigo.

Ahead of the expiration of his contract terms next summer, a considerable financial proposal would therefore likely be required to convince the Camp Nou brass of the merits of a mid-season sale.
